Designed specifically for timber casework manufacturers 'Cable Access Port' provides hand access through timber cabinet base panels, with cable routing. Most retail superstores / shops have power and data cabling from either ceiling or floor, or both. In this environment many display cabinets, cupboard units require access to floor boxes for plugging electrical and data connections from housed appliances. During construction of the furniture, the lift-out panels are normally machined from a new piece of board material, with the original cut-out piece of timber being discarded. A simple plastic moulding allows more efficient production with the following benefits:
